Jamie Alm, CCC-SLP has her Certification of Professional Achievement in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University and has facilitated various workshops in healthcare clinics and with community advocacy groups. 

Narrative Medicine Workshops are designed for healthcare and allied healthcare professionals. The field of Narrative Medicine is a unique intersection of the humanities and medicine where the skills of the humanities are leveraged in service of improved healthcare outcomes. 

Workshop formats are usually 60 minutes and include the practices of (1) close reading of a text (2) written response to a prompt and (3) use of facilitated discussion to engage in perspective shifting, self-reflection and tolerating ambiguity within a group process.
